Rocket Car Inspired Race Car
Client:
Mrs. Ross
Designer:
Guy Grisaru
Problem Statement:
Create an aerodynamic race car to blow away the competition.
Design Statement:
A streamline and efficient "rocket car" inspired race car, focusing on going fast.
Constraints:
I want the rocket car to be around 4-5 inches long, about 1-2 inches tall, and maybe 1.5 inches wide. The first 3-4 days will be helpful for planning and researching, I will hopefully have decided on a design by the end of the fourth day. The following 2-3 weeks will be used for actually creating the rocket car in Inventor. Any spare days I have left over will be used for catch-up on the project in case I am behind and for prettying up the design. Also, I will use some of this time for renders and drawing files. Assuming the dimensions are 4.5" x 1.5" x 1.5", the project will be 10.125 cubic inches. This means the car will need 42.52 dollars worth of material, however, since I will need support material, I estimate I will need a total budget of around 55-60 dollars.
Deliverables:
The end products will be an assembly file, files of all parts, a presentation file, an animation, rendered image, drawing files, and finally the actual 3D printed car itself.
